June: Bounty, Blessings, and Boy it's gettin' Hot!

Dear Friends,
So excited about this beautiful month: June.
The cows are loving the fresh spring grass, evidenced by a ballooning milk supply which is absolutely fantastic. Clucking, scratching and trying to avoid the bald eagle breakfast menu, the chickens are also finding June to be rather pleasant. Woodland shade is feeling amazing for the rooting pigs, as well as the cultured milk waste products that keep them fat and happy.
As i'm writing this, I'm in the cool environment of my home enjoying a reprieve from outside, where the heat today is feeling the most intense of the year. I'll be back out in it soon i'm afraid, but hey, it'll be winter before we know it!
The meat chickens are heading out on pasture this week, leaving the sheltered brooder they have called home for the first three weeks of their happy lives. They grow up so fast!
We are expecting to have fresh chicken ready for your families feast or freezer in about 5-6 weeks, but don't wait till then to order your family's beyond organic, pasture raised chicken! Visit our website to reserve your supply of chicken today!
It's been a blast to meet some of you at the farmer's market in Sandpoint, and we look forward to meeting more of you in person!
A huge thanks to all of you for your continued support and encouragement.
It means WAY more than you realize.
There's an idea called the 7:1 ratio, where every negative comment requires 7 positive comments to counteract the potential negative impact. Whether that is true or not, the support you all have given has literally kept us going when it was far more attractive to just throw in the towel.
Recently, we joined forces with Winter Ridge Natural Foods in Sandpoint, and they have been such a blessing! It is so exciting to have that opportunity!
If you support us through Homestead Produce, next time your there, take a look down the hill and check out some of our beef cattle grazing ahead of their flocks! They have been a stalwart support for us for years and the relationship with local farmer friends is priceless.
I hope this month is full of joy, warm sunny beach days, and family bonding dinners around the table.
To health and abundance,

Logan Hymas (2nd Son)
